Job Description:
Join Performance Foodservice, a leader in food distribution, as
a CDL A Delivery Route Driver. In this role, you will be crucial in
ensuring timely and safe delivery of food and related products to
our diverse clientele across the nation. This position requires
excellent driving skills, adherence to transportation laws, and the
ability to handle delivery schedules efficiently. Ideal candidates
will demonstrate a commitment to customer service and the safe
operation of delivery vehicles. Safely operate a tractor-trailer to
deliver goods to customers according to the delivery schedule. Load
and unload cargo, verifying loads against shipping papers. Maintain
communication with dispatch and respond to calls as needed during
routes. Adhere to company operating policies and procedures.
Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness. Prepare reports
on discrepancies in shipments, vehicle conditions, and other
relevant matters. Proficient in driving large vehicles Strong time
management and organizational skills Ability to maintain detailed
records of delivery and route information Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A
clean driving record DOT medical certification Familiarity with DOT
