Job Description Job Description Quality Technician Pay Rate: $27.97 – $32.10 per hour Position Summary The Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, consistency, and reliability of manufactured products. This position is responsible for performing inspections, executing quality control procedures, analyzing quality data, and collaborating cross-functionally to resolve quality-related issues. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, effective problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in a manufacturing environment. Primary Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections of products at various stages of production to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures to support consistent manufacturing practices. Collect, analyze, and interpret product quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, nonconformances, and corrective actions. Collaborate with production teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to investigate quality issues and implement corrective solutions. Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. Train production personnel on quality standards, inspection methods, and quality control procedures. Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, regulations, and industry best practices. Communicate quality concerns, project updates, and improvement recommendations clearly to team members and management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. Prior experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality excellence. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with quality control tools, inspection methods, and relevant software applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced, changing work environment. Knowledge of quality systems and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, statistical process control) is a plus. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Light physical activity; occasional lifting or moving of items up to 10 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods. Prolonged use of computers, keyboards, and inspection equipment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
