The Account Manager will be in charge of managing the company s relationships with some portion of its customers. They are in charge of building long-term relationships with a group of customers and generally stay with customers for the length of their relationship with the company. As part of the Business Development team, the primary effort is to sign new accounts and cultivate them toward their full potential as customers, with a focus on strong brand/technical partnership to drive increased sales. Prioritizing and dedicating constant effort as the customers’ primary point of contact with Goal Zero, this role will have both quantitative and qualitative goals and success metrics for their assigned channels, generally planned based on the individual and cumulative potential of their accounts and channels and measured against the achievement of that potential. Account managers will be in charge of finding new business, be assigned prospects, given accounts, or a combination thereof. Tasks involve product training and knowledge, strategic planning, sales support, project management product design, service and support, logistics, and marketing.Primary Job Duties:Operate as the point of contact for assigned customers Help customers with orders and product knowledge through email, phone, online screen sharing, etcGenerate sales among customers, including upselling and cross-sellingIdentify opportunities to grow business with existing clientsOnboard and integrate new accountsDevelop and maintain long-term relationships with accountsMake sure client accounts receive requested products and services in a timely fashionCommunicate customer needs and demands to business development teamForecast and track customer account metricsPrepare and communicate clearly the progress of weekly/monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal stakeholdersCoordinate with internal team members and departments (sales ops, warehouse, finance, PD) to ensure consistent serviceMonitor and analyze customer s usage of Goal Zero product Additional Job Duties:Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizationsEnhance department and organization s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments Minimum RequirementsBachelor s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience5+ years of marketing experience with agency background desirableSkills and Qualifications:Proven account management or other relevant experienceDemonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-levelExperience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needsProven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detailExcellent listening, negotiation and presentation skillsExcellent verbal and written communications skillsDeep digital understandingSelf-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environmentNatural relationship builder with integrity, reliability and maturityAbility to prioritize among competing tasksCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of website development, marketing, measurement and analytics, content management, digital marketing and internet technologyExcellent time and project management skills.
