We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary And QualificationsAs a highly-skilled Pre-Anesthesia Clinical Nurse in the Testing Clinic you will be responsible for providing pre-op functions for patients to the hospital. Under the direction of the SDS Manager you will work with other members of the team to ensure clerical tasks are complete. Our team works hard to support each other, we are looking for an amazing nurse who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.In this role:
  • You will be able to perform general nursing duties and be competent in clinical setting as verified by specific competencies.
  • You will minimize risk by assuring that any issues relating to a patient's coexisting conditions are addressed
  • You will demonstrate the ability to facilitate smooth and efficient room turnover and patient flow.
  • You will complete all paperwork and computer charting to ensure accurate and timely charting and patient charges occur.
  • You will rely on previous experience to anticipate and meet the needs of the Anesthesia Team.
  • You will facilitate communications between patient and hospital staff and family and other departments as needed.
  • You will follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures
  • You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure.
  • You will work with patients to answer questions, review history and educate on expectations leading up to surgery and recoveryQualifications:
    • Current State of Utah Registered Nurse License.
    • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
    • Advanced Communication and Organizational skills.
    • One or more years of acute RN experience required
