Job Description Job Description Steel Detailing Lead (In-House) We are seeking an experienced Steel Detailing Lead to join our in-house team and lead structural steel detailing projects from start to finish. This role requires deep technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage both client relationships and outsourced detailing partners. Responsibilities Lead and oversee steel detailing projects to ensure accuracy, quality, and schedule compliance Act as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders Coordinate and manage outsourced detailing partners and external resources Prepare, review, and issue RFIs and respond to design clarifications Review drawings and models for constructability and contract compliance Communicate clearly and professionally, both written and verbal, with internal teams and external partners Qualifications Extensive experience in structural steel detailing with lead or senior-level responsibility Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Tekla Structures Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection practices Proven ability to manage client and partner relationships Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Work Environment In-house position with close collaboration across engineering, fabrication, and project management teams If you’re a seasoned steel detailer looking for a stable in-house leadership role with client exposure and project ownership, we encourage you to apply.
