Job Description:
Associate, Business Unit Compliance with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC
in Salt Lake City, Utah. Review transaction surveillance alerts
generated by Financial Crime Compliance (“FCC”) models, which
operate to fulfil the firm’s regulatory responsibilities to detect
potential suspicious activity under the Bank Secrecy Act (“BSA”).
Conduct due diligence using internal systems and the public domain
to determine relationships and business purpose of client
transactions flagged in surveillance alerts. Requires: Master’s
degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics,
Accounting, or a related field or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or
foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related
field. One (1) year of experience with a Master’s degree in the job
offered or in a related role or three (3) years of experience with
a Bachelor’s degree in the job offered or in a role. Prior
experience must include one (1) year of experience with a Master’s
degree or three (3) years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree
with the following: soliciting relevant information from
business-side personnel to identify concerning activity and
discontinuing future transactions, if necessary; conducting
thorough research in the public domain and analyzing information to
create a clear fact pattern and risk assessment; identifying
characteristics of anti-money laundering or fraud red flags
probative of potential illicit activity in transactional reviews,
in accordance with the Bank Secrecy Act ("BSA"); drafting complex
investigative case reports detailing due diligence conducted, red
flags identified and resolutions steps; and gathering complex set
of transaction facts and quickly distilling them down to the key
relevant data points necessary to determine risk profile. Job Code:
